Melnor Hose Timers 63015 Editorial Review
The Melnor 63280 Digital Hose 4 Outlets Water Timer, 4-Zone is a convenient tool for watering multiple zones, saving time and water. The timer allows for setting different watering schedules per day and per zone. It is compatible with Melnor soil moisture sensors for automatic rain delay. However, it requires a compatible timer model with a sensor receptacle, so customers should check with Melnor to ensure compatibility. The device does not require a pressure reducer at the hose bib to lower pressure coming into the timer, and it works with normal water pressure. Customer feedback has been mixed, with some reporting issues with the device falling apart after a few months and water getting inside. Others found it easy to use, program, and reprogram. A few had issues with sticky valves that they were able to resolve with customer support. Some customers have reported that the device does not work properly, while others have found that it works like a charm. There have also been complaints about the device leaking after a few uses. One customer recommended a steel pipe fitting for the device, as the plastic fitting stripped when taken off and on a few times. Overall, the Melnor 63280 Digital Hose 4 Outlets Water Timer, 4-Zone provides convenience and flexibility for watering multiple zones, but may require additional support or upgrades depending on individual needs.
