It is compatible with any standard sized 6-cell NiMh or NiCad RC pack. However, it does not come with a battery or a charger. Users have reported issues with the glow plug burning up quickly, but it is advised to check if the glow plug is getting gas. The Traxxas 5280 Complete 2.5 Control Box takes a Tamiya style plug.
