Body-Solid Bars Editorial Review

The Body-Solid 8" Olympic Adapter Sleeve for Standard Posts is a hard, dense plastic sleeve designed to slide over the ends of a standard weight lifting bar, converting it to an Olympic-style bar. This allows the use of Olympic-sized weight plates. The sleeve comes with a screw that is used to secure it in place on the bar. Based on customer feedback, the product works as described, but there are some issues with the screw that secures the sleeve. Some customers have reported that the screw strips out easily, making it impossible to tighten the sleeve onto the bar, while others have reported that the sleeve falls off during use. Additionally, some customers have had issues with the fit of the sleeve, either with the diameter being too small for their bar or with the sleeve being too thick for their weight plates. Overall, the Body-Solid 8" Olympic Adapter Sleeve for Standard Posts seems to be a serviceable product that does what it is designed to do, but with room for improvement in terms of Construction and fit.
