About This Item
Introducing the Whiting Farms Bugger Pack - the ultimate solution for fly tiers looking to create their own Woolly Buggers. Utilized by our very own staff at Whiting Farms, these feathers have been deemed the best bugger feathers around by renowned fly tier and author, Dick Talleur. And now, we're making them available to everyone! Each Bugger Pack contains approximately double the quantity of feathers compared to our previous version, so you'll have plenty to work with.
What makes these feathers truly exceptional is their unique characteristic of fitting a varying range of hook sizes, from 4 to 12. Gone are the days of struggling to find the right size feather - simply identify the location on the feather that corresponds to your hook size, and you're ready to start tying. Tying your own Woolly Buggers with our Bugger Pack is a breeze. Begin by securing the bugger feather on the hook by the butt end at the hook eye, after attaching a tail of marabou or chickabou.
Then, incorporate a wire rib and body chenille at the hook bend. Wrap the body and wind the hackle from the front of the hook to the rear. Finish by tying the feather off with three turns of the wire rib near the hook bend, wrapping the rib forward, and completing the fly.
