Spicer 5153X Editorial Review
The Spicer 5-153X U-Joint Kit has garnered a mix of feedback from customers, primarily praising its quality and fit, while also highlighting a few practical concerns. Users have Consistently noted Spicer's reputation for high-quality parts, with many expressing satisfaction regarding the seamless installation in various vehicle models, especially in older Jeeps like the Grand Cherokee and Liberty. The ease of fitment is a significant plus, making it a popular choice among DIY mechanics. However, customers have pointed out some usability issues, particularly concerning compatibility with Double Cardan joints. There’s a noteworthy concern about the grease fitting not fitting properly and needing a low profile needle style replacement. This detail, while critical, can be easily overlooked by those unfamiliar with specific requirements for Double Cardan setups. Additionally, some reviews mention a less-than-perfect finish on the cups, suggesting that while the functionality is intact, aesthetics could be improved. Overall, the Spicer 5-153X U-Joint Kit represents a reliable option for those in need of quality U-joints, though customers should be aware of the necessary adjustments for certain joint types. **
