The Rigid Ignite is designed, engineered and assembled in the USA. Customers are happy with the build quality of the product, which is great due to the plastic surrounding. They are also impressed with the brightness, and say that they are two or three times brighter than factory lights. Although they are supposed to be sealed and waterproof, experts suggest not submerging them for longer periods of time. The lights have a floodlight beam with a very wide area of illumination around +/- 160 degrees. Most users installed the Rigid Ignite centrally or close to the bumper outside to increase visibility, and it works perfectly. However, one user reported that mounting the light onto a receiver might compromise the receiver's strength. Some users mentioned that they would have preferred to have more precise installation instructions, as the recommended inch and three-quarter holesaw could leave no margin for error. Nevertheless, they suggest using an inch and a half holesaw with stainless sheet metal screws due to their durability.
